John F. Byrnes

Jack Byrnes graduated from Rutgers Law School in 2022 summa cum laude. He received the Saul Tischler Memorial and A. Harry Moore Prize for achieving the highest academic average in his graduating class, as well as the Anthony Engelbrecht Prize for achieving the highest average during his final year of study. The Scholastic Standing Committee also selected Jack for the Alumni Senior Prize, an award recognizing the student showing the greatest promise as a member of the legal profession.

Jack’s achievements extend well beyond the classroom. He served as the Editor-in-Chief for the Rutgers University Law Review, managing a team of 57 editors. Jack also competed for the Rutgers National Appellate Advocacy Team as its lead brief writer. The American Bar Association recognized him as the Second-Best Oral Advocate at the Boston Regional for its National Appellate Advocacy Competition, and his team won Fourth Best Brief. They went on to compete at Nationals, and his team placed in the top sixteen.

Jack has worked as a litigation paralegal for Byrnes O’Hern & Heugle for six years, and he has maintained an exemplary level of professionalism and diligence even while pursuing his studies.
